Itinerary

Day 1, Depart New York or Washington, DC

Day 2, Arrive Cape Town, South Africa
Welcome to Cape Town, where you are met on arrival and transferred to your lodging.

Day 3, Cape Town
Embark on a scheduled tour of Cape Town this morning, including a cable ride to the top of Table Mountain. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 4, Cape Town
The entire day is yours for independent exploration. You may want to embark on an optional excursion to the tip of the Cape Peninsula or spend the day in the winelands sampling some of South Africa's award-winning wines.

Day 5, Mpumalanga
Depart Cape Town via flight service en route to Mpumalanga, gateway to Kruger National Park and the surrounding private reserves. On arrival, you are met and transferred to your lodging . Spend the afternoon by the pool or join an optional sunset gamedrive.

Day 6, Mpumalanga
After breakfast this morning, embark on a full day gamedrive through Kruger National Park. Open safari vehicles allow for superb photographic opportunities of the park's 147 species of mammals and over 500 species of birds.

Day 7, Johannesburg
Fly on to Johannesburg today and wash of the dust of the bush while enjoying the comforts and amenities of your hotel.

Day 8, Depart Johannesburg
Enjoy the free time today shopping for souvenirs or join an optional excursion through the township of Soweto. Depart Johannesburg late this afternoon aboard your return international service to the USA or extend your African adventure with an optional two night journey to Victoria Falls. (B)
