Itinerary
Day 1, Arrive Arusha, Tanzania
Upon arrival this evening at Kilimanjaro Airport you are met by an African Travel representative and escorted to your lodge accommodations.
ARUSHA COFFEE LODGE
Day 2, Tarangire National Park
After breakfast this morning, depart on a tour of The Burka Coffee Estate and enjoy an alfresco luncheon in the gardens. This afternoon, your destination is Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will be met by your safari ranger and will enjoy an afternoon wildlife drive. After sunset, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
TARANGIRE TREETOPS (B,L,D)
Day 3, Tarangire National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon gameviewing activities. There is a very diverse ecostructure in Tarangire: riverine thickets, bush-filled gullies, grassy acacia woodlands and vistas of ancient baobab trees. Aside from walking safaris and a Maasai Village visit, you will also enjoy sundowners atop Sunset Hill and a special night drive.
TARANGIRE TREETOPS (B,L,D)
Day 4, Tarangire / Lake Manyara / Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you'll join another game drive in Tarangire Park. Then drive to the airstrip, stopping for a picnic lunch, and fly to Lake Manyara. You will be greeted at the airstrip and will be transferred to the lodge. Along the way, visit an authentic African market in the township of Karatu. After arrival at your lodge, you will have some time to relax and enjoy the lodge grounds before dinner is served in the main dining area.
THE MANOR AT NGORONGORO (B,L,D)
Day 5, Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, you descend to the crater floor for a full day of exploring in this extinct, collapsed volcano. Within the 100 square miles of the crater is one of the densest concentrations of game to be found in Africa. We return to our accommodation in time to freshen up before cocktails and dinner.
THE MANOR AT NGORONGORO (B,L,D)
Day 6, Ngorongoro Crater / Lake Manyara / Serengeti
This morning you may enjoy exploring the estate and taking part in any of the included activities: horseback riding, cycling and estate tour, or a spa treatment. Alternatively, you may care to do a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. After lunch, you drive to the Manyara airstrip where we fly into the famed Serengeti National Park. We arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, returning to our camp for dinner and overnight.
MIGRATION CAMP (B,L,D)
Day 7, Serengeti National Park
Depart into the early morning splendor of an African sunrise at the start of your first game drive of the day. Game drives end just before dusk when you are returned to the familiar surroundings of your lodge. Relax with after dinner drinks watching the many species of game grazing in close proximity to the camp.
MIGRATION CAMP (B,L,D)
Day 8, Serengeti / Depart Arusha
This morning you will enjoy a guided walking safari before boarding your Arusha-bound flight. Here you will be met and transferred to a dayroom, until your late evening transfer to the airport for your onward international flight.
