Itinerary

Day 1, Arrive Cape Town, South Africa
On arrival in Cape Town, South Africa's "Mother City", you are welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2, Cape Town
Todays exploration of the 'Fairest Cape' begins with a drive past pristine beaches to Hout Bay. Time permitting, a stop will be made in Hout Bay for an optional Seal Island cruise. After lunch, it's on to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve – then continue along the coastline to the beautiful Boulders Beach and it's colony of penguins. Our final stop is a walk amongst the last surviving group of Chacma Baboons of the Southern Peninsula. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3, Cape Town
Your day begins with a cable car up to the tops of Table Mountain, weather permitting. Continue on to the aquarium where the land and sea are connected and connect to the two oceans that make up South Africa's exquisite coastline. In the afternoon, join your local guide for a walk highlighting the way of life in his town. On return to the Centre, you will have the opportunity to catch further Kayamandi vibes by participating in a drumming session!

Day 4, George / Knysna
Today, fly to George before heading to your reserved hotel in Knysna. Knysna is one of the Garden Route´s best known travel destinations. Situated between lush forests and the shores of the peaceful estuary it offers many activities and attractions to a wide variety of people. This evening enjoy a sundowner cruise in Knysna Harbor.

Day 5, Knysna
Today's travels will take you to unique and wonderful habitats and sanctuaries outside of Knysna. Monkeyland's indigenous forest house twelve species of previously caged primates from across the world, where they roam at will. Birds of Eden, the Garden Route's very own world class free flight bird sanctuary, houses approximately two thousand birds of one hundred and eighty different species from different continents. You will also visit the Knysna Elephant Park for a "trunk in hand" experience. This park's aim has been to privide the best free range home possible to elephants in need of one.

Day 6, Knysna / Port Elizabeth
A beautiful drive through the Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth awaits you today. For the more actively inclined, the forest offers the chance for a canopy walk, Waterfall Zipline or the world's highest commercial bungee jump. Port Elizabeth offers a diverse selection of attractions and activities, including eco-attractions, scenic nature trails, wildlife and cultural experience.

You have a choice of three different excursions this afternoon if you haven't already spent too long enjoying the sights and activities along the way. After your activity, retreat back to your hotel.

An ecological boat trip exploring the coastline by boat where you may see humpback whales or bottlenose dolphins. * A visit to Bayworld Museum, an oceanarium, museum, and snake park. Within the oceanarium are penguin, fur seals, and sharks. The museum has displays such as dinosaur, marine, bird, and maritime History.
An exploratory trip to Seaview Lion Park. Set in 300 acres of superb bush and grassland, Seaview Lion Park offers the unique experience of close-up game-viewing of unique 'big cats' including white lions, tigers, caracals, leopards and a variety of other animals.

Day 7, Shamwari Game Reserve
This morning head to the Shamwari Game Reserve for a three night safari. Shamwari Game Reserve is a 49,000 acre malaria free, private game reserve situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It is a game reserve in which a multitude of plant, animal, and bird life unfold the very soul of untamed Africa, along with the most luxurious and leisurely means to enjoy it. Your time at Shamwari will be spent on afternoon and morning game drives in this private reserve. Night drives can be arranged.
SHAMWARI GAME RESERVE – RIVERDENE LODGE

Day 8, Shamwari Game Reserve
Today you will have a full day of game viewing. Shamwari is dedicated to nature conservation – here the graceful leopard, the powerful rhino, elephant and hippo share the domain with kudu, gemsbok, wildebeest, zebra, hyena and a large variety of smaller game, as well as a paradise of bird, reptile and plant life. Night drives with the aid of a spotlight provide additional excitement, while your ranger will comply with your every need.

Day 9, Shamwari Game Reserve
Another excellent day full of game drives that are carried out during the morning and evening in an open game viewing vehicle.Guided walkscan often be the highlight of your African trip, for it is only then that you gain a true perspective of the fauna and flora around you. Please ask your personal game ranger to make these arrangements for you.

Day 10, Shamwari / Depart Port Elizabeth
An early morning wake up call for light refreshments before departing on a morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast, and then relax at the lodge until time to transfer to Port Elizabeth airport for your departure flight.
