Itinerary

Day 1-2, Johannesburg
Your journey of discovery begins on Saturday in Johannesburg, the 'City of Gold'. Your travels include visits to Freedom Square, Nelson Mandela's former home, and the vibrant township of Soweto.

Day 3, Mpumalanga
Join your fellow passengers on a seven day motorcoach tour. Depart via Pretoria and make your way into the lush Mpumalanga region. Your final destination is Pilgrim’s Rest, the old mining village where gold was first discovered.

Day 4, Near Kruger National Park
This morning gasp at the glory that is God’s Window, a boundless view of forested mountains and fertile plains, and visit the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, one of the natural wonders of Africa. We explore the quaint village of Graskop and meet one of Africa's gentle giants at an elephant interaction experience.

Day 5, Near Kruger National Park
Set off before breakfast on a full day safari in open safari vehicles. Search for lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard, and all manner of wondrous wildlife, birds and plant species.

DAY 6, Swaziland
Drive to the tiny Kingdom of Swaziland, a former British Protection Territory, now ruled by King Mswati III. Witness a Swazi cultural experience before visiting the Swaziland National Museum. We continue through the capital city, Mbabane, known for its vibrant markets packed with woven baskets, beadwork and carvings.

Day 7, Zululand and Umfolozi Game Reserve
Visit the Swazi Candle Factory, teeming with exquisite wax artworks in every shape and color imaginable. Then on into Zululand, passing traditional round huts and endless vistas. This afternoon an exciting open safari game drive in Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park is sure to please.

Day 8, Durban
This morning enjoy a cruise on Lake St Lucia. Hug the lush KwaZulu-Natal coastline en route to Durban, watching the sugar cane fields sway at the urging of the wind. A Durban city tour includes a drive along the Golden Mile, the peaceful Durban Botanical Gardens, a visit to the Kwa Muhle Museum and the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Day 9, Cape Town
Continue by air to Cape Town today, known as one of the world’s most beautiful cities and your home for the next three nights. Relax and enjoy the afternoon.
