Day 1, Depart USA
Your safari begins as you depart from the USA today en route to South Africa.

Day 2, Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town, where you are warmly greeted and whisked to your local hotel and home for the next four nights.

Day 3, Cape Town
This morning's scheduled excursion takes you to Table Mountain for a spectacular view over the Cape Bowl out into the Atlantic. From here, you continue your exploration of the city highlights. This evening, you are dinner guests in the home of a local family.

Day 4, Cape Town
Your choice of scheduled half-day activities:
- excursion to the tip of the Cape Peninsula at Cape Point
- excursion to the prolific Cape winelands
- Cape Malay cooking class
- township excursion and African beading
- excursion to Kayamandi township and a class in African drumming

Day 5, Cape Town
Your choice of scheduled half-day activities:
- Cape Town soccer excursion including lunch
- township excursion for dinner and an evening of poety

Board your flight east to the Indian Ocean for the next three nights.

Day 7, Durban
Your choice of full day activities:
- Zulu cultural excursion to Shakaland
- safari in the magical Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve
- Drakensberg Mountains, Giant's Castle and local Bushmen paintings
- Sotho village visit in Lesotho and a 4x4 drive through the Sani Pass, the highest road pass   on the continent

Day 8, Durban
Enjoy the day at leisure. Spend time at the beach or explore the Indian market.

Days 9 & 10, Timbavati Reserve, Kruger National Park
Wing to Johannesburg and then north to Kruger National Park and the Timbavati Reserve. This region holds the gene pool for the white lion. In addition to the Big Five, there are 36 species of mammals and 360 species of birds. It is possible to see more species of bird in one day at the Timbavati than you have possibly ever witnessed in your life.

Day 11, Depart Johannesburg
After one final morning excursion into the bush, board your regional flight back to Johannesburg, arriving in time to connect with homebound international service.  (B)

Day 12, Arrive USA
Arrive home today and begin uploading all your precious safari images.
